Short Description

• Distance Learning Program
  The Online M.B.A. Program is a distance learning program offered to all those who cannot attend lecture classes on a regular basis. Textbooks, recordings of the lectures from our M.B.A. program, and handouts come to you by mail. Our international professors supervise and support you over the Internet.
  
  
• Content, Curriculum, and Professors
  This program is the distance learning version of our on-campus M.B.A. program. Professors, structure, materials, and cases are the same as our students study in class.
  
  
• Students from Thailand (any nationality)
  will do their examinations in the IIS-RU Study Centers. Cost of the complete program is 259,000 Baht and includes all textbooks and multi-media material. The program is a 2-year program. The maximum time available until graduation is 5 years.
  
  
• Students from outside Thailand (any nationality)
  will do their examinations in a study center in their home country. There is no need to come to Bangkok, if you want to study this online degree program. Cost of the complete program for students outside Thailand is 359,000 Baht and includes all textbooks and multi-media material. The program is a 2-year program. The maximum time available until graduation is 5 years.

Purpose and Objectives

The Institute of International Studies, Ramkhamhaeng University, has offered the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Degree Program since 1992. It provides individuals with advanced academic work in the functional aspects of public and private organizations.

The Online M.B.A. Program is offered due to the increasing demand of access to university education from those who cannot attend on-campus lectures on a regular basis.

Nowadays, every sector faces the impact of globalization. To understand and adapt to the global business environment will be the key to executive success in international operations. The revised program (in 2004) provides the individual with general competencies for overall management as well as an ability to function effectively in a multicultural and rapidly changing global arena.

Students will develop skills in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, as well as conceptualizing, evaluating and implementing solutions necessary in addressing complex unstructured business problems.

Individuals with Bachelor degree in arts, humanities, sciences, engineering, education, business etc. from accredited schools are encouraged to apply.

Application Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree from an educational institute or university recognized by the Ministry of Education. The degree may be in any field of study.

In case, a transfer of credits will be approved by the Administration Committee of the Institute of International Studies.

Program Degree and Majors

The program degree is Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). Students choose one of following majors:

Time Limits

Students can complete this program within 2 years or not more than 5 years.

Study Evaluation and Graduation

To qualify for graduation must

1. Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
   
   
2. Defend a thesis or pass the comprehensive examination upon completion of the course work.

Program Completion

A minimum of 39 credits is necessary to qualify for completion of a program.

Program Structure

For any M.B.A. student, attendance of the pre-course BM501 Financial Accounting is mandatory.

* A comprehensive examination including written and/or oral tests must be taken after completion of the 39 credit program in compliance with the rules of the Graduate School of Ramkhamhaeng University.
