International Program Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession

The English Program is offered in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
The Chinese Program is offered in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Chiangrai.

According to the National Education Act of B. E. 2542 (1999), Section 52, indicating the educational process in producing teachers, teachers and educational staff should be supported to achieve the appropriate standard and quality of college education.

This will result in the readiness and strength of continuously turning out new personnel. In addition, the second paragraph of Section 53 indicates that teachers, administrators of educational institutions, educational administrators, and other educational staff of both state and private institutes must have profession licenses in accordance with the above National Education Act.

Therefore, the Institute of International Studies (IIS-RU), Ramkhamhaeng University, organizes the Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession to educate every group of personnel in the educational sector.

Application Requirements

  1. Having earned a Bachelor Degree or higher in any field from an accredited university. Foreign applicants need to submit a certified translation in English carrying seal and signature.

  2. Successfully pass the IIS-RU English Test. (For exemptions from passing the IIS-RU English Test, please see the exemptions for Bachelor Degree Programs above.)

  3. Successfully pass the interview at your study center. In case the interview would cause a travel effort too big, you may be exempt from this interview.

  4. Submit a complete application according to the Application Process.

Registration

Students can register not less than 9 credits and not more than 15 credits in each semester.

Program Schedule

Weekend course: 8 months Saturday and Sunday, 9:00-16:00 hrs.

A week day course (Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is an option for the future. The very low tuition fee needs cost effectiveness. Therefore, the full-time program will only be offered when a sufficient number of students registers.

Transfer of Credits

Credits earned from this program can be transferred to the IIS M.Ed. Master in Educational Administration (English Program).

Teaching at Thai Schools

Graduates from this 30 semester-credit program are eligible to work as a teacher at Thai schools.
