Student Handbook for download

As an IIS-RU student or lecturer, you get your personal address very simple.
Just send an e-mail with

  • First name and family name
  • Program of studies and batch
  • Student ID Number (if available)
  • your nickname for an alias (, as long as available).

Within a few hours, you have your own IIS-RU e-mail and intranet account.

Google Talk (chat) is used within the domain only. Although you cannot chat with everybody, you don't have a problem to chat with our office as long as the respective colleague is online.

With this e-mail account, you can also use the other services of the IIS-RU Intranet:

IIS-RU Mail: Your e-mail account is a customized Gmail account with currently more than 5 gigabytes of storage, an effective spam filter, search tools to help you find information fast, plus instant messaging within the community of users and calendar tools built right into the email interface. You can choose your interface from 40 different languages. The size of your e-mails is not limited. Learn more.

Chat: You can call or send instant messages to your IIS-RU contacts for free - anytime, anywhere in the world. File sharing and voicemail is included, too. Learn more.

Sites: One-stop sharing for team and course information. Build your own Web site with a few mouse clicks! Learn more.

Calendar: You can organize your schedules and share events, meetings and entire calendars with others. You can also publish calendars and events on the web. Learn more.

Docs: You can create documents, spreadsheets and presentations and collaborate with your fellow students in real-time right inside a web browser window. Learn more.

Personal Start Page: A central place for you to preview your inbox and calendars, access your essential content, and search the web. Learn more.

...and almost all with mobile access: Access your mail, calendar, and instant messaging accounts when you're on-the-go, so you can stay connected even when you don't have access to an internet-connected computer. Learn more.
