Dr. Hanns Heinrich Schumacher, The Ambassador of Germany in Thailand visited IIS – RU and gave a lecture at IIS about international issues and his diplomatic experience around the world. They are issues in Myanmar, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Yugoslavia, South Africa, Namibia, Grenada, Turkey, and the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia over Pravihan. The advantages of European Union were also mentioned.
      After the lecture he got a lot of questions from many international students from different countries. About 200 students at IIS attended his lecture.
      IIS appreciate his lecture and it is an honor to have such prominent diplomat to lecture at IIS.
