[27.11.2009 ] The paper “Leading  the Southeast Asian Recovery: Thailand’s Unique Opportunity” of Prof. Dr. Hamid  Ahmadi won the Best Paper Award of The 2009 IBER (Business) & ITLC (Teaching) Conferences October 5-7, 2009 held at Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The German Ambassador, Dr.Hanns H.Schumacher, will give a lecture at the Institute of International Studies of Ramkhamhaeng University (IIS-RU) on Tuesday, July 14,2009, 10-12am (IIS,9th floor). [21.02.2009] IIS students joined Ramkhamhaeng University parade on the opening ceremony of University Games on January 11,2009. Ramkhamhaeng University hosted the 36th University Games from January 11-18, 2009.IIS students joined the parade were awarded certificate of honor and recognition by Assoc.Prof.Dr.Piboon Puriveth, Director of Institute of International Studies.

[07.02.2009] IIS students and Engineer students,Ramkhamhaeng University had friendly matches of football and basketball on February 7, 2009. It was the 6th year of tradition between Institute of International Studies and Faculty of Engineering, students of both faculties enjoyed the game and the enterainment of colorful cheer leaders of both sides Tug of war and gunny-bag race were the intermission entertainment.

[21.01.2009]- Ramkhamhaeng University has signed MOU with University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaben, Germanny on January 7, 2009.

- On January 21, 2009 Ramkhamhaeng University has signed MOU with Thai-Nguyen University of Economics Business Administration, Vietnam The Institute of International Studies will oversee the implementation of the two MOU.

[17.09.2008, last updated 04.11.2009, BA Mass on 10.11.2008, BBA on 21.11.2008] Please download the tentative course schedules for the next semester (2nd semester academic year 2008, November 2008 to March 2009) for B.A. (English), B.A. (Mass Communication Technology), and B.B.A. (all majors), which also includes the tuition fee for the particular batches. Please note that changes may occur in January when there are the Huamark Games and the Ramkhamhaeng University Graduation Ceremony. As always, if a member of the Royal Family will attend these events, the IIS building has to be closed for security reasons. This may cause short-term changes in the schedule.

[05.08.2008] With regard to recent publications in Thai media on the worries about the quality of lecturers at Tha universities, IIS-RU published today a press release in cooperation with Studyinthailand.org: At IIS-RU, international university professors are queuing up for teaching.

[29.07.2008] Christoph Jourdan and Claudio Nuessle are two Media Design students at theUniversity of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden in Germany. [16.07.2008] Please be informed that now seven EBSOC databases have been set up for trial for Ramkhamhaeng university. All trial will be valid by 30 November 2008. The databases contain high quality resources from Business, Economics, Education, Humanities, Social and other academic sciences. All databases are accessible from outside the university network as well. Please see the details, including username and password for Web access.

[29.05.08] The IIS-RU Orientation Day in on June 8, 2008, 9am - 12am, in IIS-RU building, 9th floor. All stakeholders of IIS-RU are warmly invited to join the Orientation Day for our new students. Students who enrolled in 2/2007 (November 2007) and 1/2008 (this coming semester) please note that participation is mandatory! You can see some Orientation Day photos in the photo galleries.

[28.05.08] Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piboon Puriveth and his team presented IIS-RU and its unique model character in China at the International China Senior College (Shanghai) 2008 (April 19-20, 2008) and at The 4th International Conference on Education Innovation (ICEI 2008) in Malaysia (May 6-8, 2008).

[20.05.08] The Award of Academic Excellence and RU Scholarship Ceremony 2008 is on June 8, 2008, IIS-RU building, 9th floor. High-performers receive special support at IIS. The Award of Academic Excellence and the IIS-RU Scholarship (undergraduate students 10,000 Baht, graduate students 15,000 Baht) is granted to those students who maintain a G.P.A. of 3.8 or better over an academic year. In the ceremony on June 8, 2008, scholarship and award will be handed over to students who reached these high goals in academic year 2006 (June 2006 to March 2007).

[19.03.2008] Current IIS-RU students can choose courses in the Summer Session until 29 March 2008. You can study up to 4 courses from a wide variety of courses across all undergraduate programs.

[15.01.2008] IIS-RU goes online: From September 2008, IIS-RU offers the Online M.B.A. Program as its first distance learning program. This 2-year program costs for students within Thailand 250,000 Baht, for students outside Thailand 350,000 Baht (independent of any nationality). Tuition fees also cover all textbooks and multimedia materials. No class-room or on-campus presence is requested. The maximum time to graduation is 5 years.

[14.01.2008] In the market for studying an international program? Visit the TIEE Thailand International Education Fair on February 1 to 3, 2008, in Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. IIS-RU will present itself - a nice opportunity to compare us to our competition!
