The Orientation Day for Bachelor Degree Level

The Orientation Day of The institute of International Studies – Ramkhamhaeng University was held on 11th July, 2013 from 08.30 – 11.00 am. This day is very important for new students as new comer to join the studies in the international environment, in particular, freshmen students in the Bachelor Degree level. Moreover, opening ceremony is given by The President of Ramkhamhaeng University, Asst. Prof. Wutisak Lapcharoensap, pointed out that students should not emphasize just only on studies and concentration in classroom, but they should broaden their perspective and horizon by taking part in extra – curricular activities that provided for students, especially, the activities that is related to learning the Thai value and culture such as Thai classical dance, Thai boxing, and so on. In doing so, students will learn more about Thai culture and language.

Welcoming speech was also given by the Director of The Institute of International Studies, Mr. Satin Soonthornpan, he stated that studying here will help and give the opportunities to students to learn more about the cultural diversity and to learn more about the individual differences, Students at IIS come more than 50 countries all around the world. Additionally, he also pointed out that new students should also be aware in terms of plagiarism and give honestly in all their studies. Furthermore, international professors of IIS have also given welcoming speeches to new students, pointed out the best method to be successful in the international education system. Lastly, The President of Ramkhamhaeng University has also awarded the scholarships of Excellency to the students with outstanding scholastic achievement during the academic year 2012.
