“Building a Dam Project for Community Development and Sustainability 2015”

Institute of International Studies, Ramkhamhaeng University (IIS-RU) organized the “Building a Dam Project for Community Development and Sustainability for the Academic Year 2015” during 5 – 7 March 2016 at Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, Amphoe Lan Sak and Kaen Makrut Forest Park, Amphoe Ban Rai, Uthai Thani Province. On this occasion, IIS lecturer, staffs and students, both Thai and international participated in this project.

The objectives of this project were to provide students’ learning by doing through the concept of lifelong education, motivating and exposing them to conserve natural resources and environment from real experience. Moreover, this project also raised students’ awareness to be public-minded and to devote themselves for community development and sustainable society in order to express their gratitude and loyalty to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej for the role model of Sufficiency Economy under the Royal Initiative of His Majesty the King.
