IIS-RU joined Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2015 at Beijing, China

The Institute of International Studies, Ramkhamhaeng University participated in the Asia-pacific for Internationa Education ( APAIE) held on 23th-26th March 2015 at the Olympic Village and adjacent to the Beijing Olympic main stadium “Bird’s Nest”, Beijing International Convention Center (BICC) , Beijing, China.

On this occasion, the Director of IIS-RU, Mr. Satin Soonthornpan, the Deputy Director, Ms. Chotima Vesaracharnont, Ms. Fonthong Tangjitwatanakul, and Ms. Sawitree Chongsakornsin representatives from IIS participated in this conference and exhibition. Joining this event gave a chance for IIS to build the academic network and education collaboration as well as to promote IIS-RU concerning its course offering and program of study to all interested participant.

IIS-RU has considered that joining this conference would offered a good advantage toward IIS-RU because it is a good opportunity to integrate more international dimension into the classroom by bringing in exchange students from foreign partner institutions and sending out IIS-RU’s students to experience a semester abroad. Moreover, it gave a chance to promote IIS-RU to the representatives from other universities all around the world. This year the Institute of International Studies worked together with Office of the Higher Education Commission and other Thai Universities to organize the Thai Pavilion booth under the theme of “ Thailand: Your study destination”  

APAIE seeks to bring together international educator in Asia-Pacific higher education and other relevant organization to promote community development. The next APAIE conference and exhibition will be held in Melbourne, Australia on 29 February- 3 March 2016.
