Annual Field Trip to Ancient Siam in Samutprakan Province

The Institute of International Studies, Ramkhamhaeng University (IIS-RU) conducted its annual field trip to Ancient Siam or Preserving Siamese True Heritage in Samutprakan Province on Wednesday 15 February 2017. The eighty-three participants, under the supervision of professor of HIS1201 course: Foundations of Thai Culture and staffs spent the whole day visiting spectacular and attractive places in order to learn more deeply about Thai cultural resources, the value and indigenous knowledge of Thai arts and culture from the ancestors’ local wisdom. While this field trip was meant to raise the consciousness of students regarding Thai culture and arts-related issues, it also provided an opportunity for a different kind of extra-curricular activity outside the classroom
