RAM100 Knowledge and Morality

              Conceptualized study of vision, theories, principles, process and human learning development strategies, creative thinking, the development of physicals and mental health, intellect, knowledge and morality, ethical and cultural way of life, good quality of life, human dignity, pride in Thai identity; in calculating sound awareness of the nation’s responsibility, an understanding of politics, governances, arts and national cultural principles; local wisdom, Thai wisdom, and universal knowledge; inculcating belief in conserving natural resources, the environment and energy; self-reliance; acquiring a thirst for knowledge and capability of self-learning on a continuous basis, the application of theories into practice according to the philosophy of sufficiency economy, the application and implementation knowledge and morality conditions.

              History of computer, number systems, components of computer systems: hardware, Software; data communication, computer network, various types of information systems, programming development concept, computer applications, social impacts and ethical issues on computer using.

 

ART1003 Art Appreciation

              A study of important art from ancient times to the present, with emphasis on the value and style of each type of art, the conveyance of art appreciation, and artistic creativity

 

HIS1001 Western Civilization

              A study of political, economic, social, and cultural developments of Western societies, from ancient times to modern times. Emphasis is on unique features of Western Civilization and its dominance in the world since the 18th century.

 

HIS1201 Foundations of Thai Culture

              A study of the origins, developments, and achievements of Eastern civilization, from antiquity to modern times. Particular emphasis is placed on distinctive characteristics of Eastern civilization and its responses to challenges from Western dominance in modern times.

 

LIS1001 Information and Technology for Searching

              A study of roles and importance of information, information sources, automated library, information storage and retrieval systems, information technology, information network and internet for research and information dissemination. Research methodology, report writing and academic reference are also included.

 

PHI1003 Introduction to Philosophy

              A study of the meaning and scope of philosophy, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics and Aesthetics; the development of Eastern and Western philosophies from ancient times to modern times

THA1001 Structure of Thai and Its Usage

              A study of both unique and general characteristics of phonology, morphology, and syntax of the Thai language, including royal terms and Thai idioms, with emphasis on skills for listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

 

THA1002 Introduction to Thai Literature

              A study of literary development from the Sukhothai to the Bangkok period, including the types and characteristics of Thai literary terms

 

ENG1001 Basic English Sentence and Essential Vocabulary in Daily Life

              A study of basic sentence structure, vocabulary and common expressions used in daily life, with the focus on grammatically constructed sentence components and sentence continuance with punctuations and conjunctions

 

ENG1002 English Sentences and Vocabulary in General Use

              A study of basic sentences and vocabulary in general use, leading to an understanding of sentence structure and components, with the emphasis on sentences continuance with punctuation and conjunctions

 

ENG2001 English Reading for Comprehension

              A study of the methods and ways of reading short paragraphs, focusing on words, phrases, and sentence structure, and emphasizing the understanding of prefixes, suffixes, contextual clues and dictionary usage.

 

ENG2002 English Interpretive Reading

              A study of interpretive reading with the focus on the main idea, supporting statements and themes of passages, speed reading, scanning, skimming, and comprehension

 

MCS1150 Introduction to Mass Communication

              To study concepts, characteristics, forms, and methods of various kinds of media for mass communication including the uses and effect of media, especially mass media.

 

MCS1151 Theories of Communication

              To study the meanings, factors, process, concepts, communicative theories, roles and functions of communication, types and levels of communication, evolutions of communication, influence and impacts of every level of communication, especially mass communication.

              A study of principles of news reporting, news writing for television, presentation, reading and reporting formats of television news program, process and production, role of reporters, and techniques of interviews including photo selection, montage for news reporting, and examples of news writing for television.

 

MCS2460 Radio Script Writing

              Principles of writing messages and script for various types of radio programs

 

MCS2480 Radio and Television Performance

              Basic principles and techniques of performances for radio and television programs

 

MCS3451 Television Program Production

              Processes and techniques of television programs production. Roles, duties and responsibilities of television programs production personnel. Workshop for various types television programs production.

 

MCS4480 Radio and Television for Society

              Roles, functions and influence of radio and television on economic, social and political development and responsibilities of mass media institution to the society
